• If there was a similar group for atheists, agnostics and secular humanists, the impact would be the same.
• It is difficult to determine cause and effect so healthier people may go to church.
• Those who do not attend church may be old, mentally unstable, not mobile or not social.
• Secular societies like Denmark, Norway and Estonia, show high levels of happiness and contentment and longer life spans than Americans in general.
• Having a celestial sky-daddy is comforting. Plus add in immortality, heaven, seeing your dead relatives and belief in prayer and it is a compelling package.
• Those little wafers and grape juice are very healthly
• From an evolutionary viewpoint, belief in superstition and the supernatural helps our species cope and survive.
